The writing for Gentar Arc is so good!

Finally have the mood to write about Gentar! The writing for this arc improve a lot! Credit to the writers (as mentioned in credit): Syahmi Hafizuddin & Raja Faisal who are also the writers of the gentar comic arc. (TRIVIA: they're also the writers of everyone's favourite arc - Gurlatan.)

Also, I guess the fact that the story involves very few characters, contributes to better character spotlights, developments and give them chances to put nostalgic factor into the story. Ok move on to some moments I love in the arc 👇

Before that, have some cute Ocho & Boi moment <3

1. Story continuity. Something that the comic lacks - when an arc ended, the next arc barely said anything about what happens in previous arc (with sori as exception). I love how they start with BoBoiBoy feeling traumatized about Beliung's incidence to him being worried to get Nova, which also justify why he will utilize fusions more in the upcoming arcs.

" Aku harap aku takkan bahayakan diorang lagi. (I hope I won't endager them anymore.) "

2. Gopal dancing in the first episode, establishing himself as a dancing robot. Later on we were shown that he once again dance in episode 3 as a bait for rosaksa. (And the nostalgic Gopal 'crazy' dance ofc)

3. Adudu in the arc was amazing. We see him being disappointed in boi, then contemplating what Gopal said and apologize to boi because technically he is the reason why everything happens in Nubot. His protectiveness to probe, but still retain his 'jackass' personality haha (adudu the tsundere?) and lastly when he returns the favor to boi by helping him saving ochobot. Adudu is such a layered character.

Also when it was revealed that he has been wearing the bubadibako shirt ALL ALONG? It just got me thinking that adudu found the shirt when he was in despair trying to save probe. In desperate, he calls BoBoiBoy as he remembered how helpful of a friend he was back when bubadibako was a thing.

4. The parallel between boi failed to stop ochobot from entering the portal at the end of episode 2 to boi desperately followed ochobot into the portal at the end of episode 3. Hence, the dialogue;

"Aku tak boleh gagal lagi! (I cannot failed again!)"

- Heart-wrenching ngh.

5. GOPAL MY BOY. Gopal defending boi by saying; "Even though BoBoiBoy has no power, but he still tried to help!" feels like a parallel to what he did in episode 4 - Gopal, despite being powerless* at the moment, tried to help boi by tricking the rosaksa. Honestly, almost cried during Gopal moment. (Almost because I was watching it with a friend, or else would've cried a river.)

*Powerless as in he was scared of rosaksa which makes him felt he was powerless, not powerless as in he has no power. 

To quote Tok Sah;

" A Hero is not born from powers, they are born from courage and responsibility. " 

Being courageous is when you do something despite being scared. Gopal was a true hero at the moment.

6. Bubadibako recurring throughout the arc from episode 2 - 4 was a nice touch; it's not just a one thing in episode 2 to show why boi is willing to help adudu. That's what I love so much about the new writing; nothing was put in the plot that feels unnecessary.

7. The full cycle of Adudu & Boboiboy relationship; Adudu stole ochobot from BoBoiBoy when he was younger (technically) to Adudu helps BoBoiBoy save ochobot in Gentar Arc.

Overall, I rate the series as 9.5! the highest out of the three arcs so far. It was simple, nostalgic, heartwarming, good enough as a feel-good-show that the creator wants it to be.

p/s: I felt bad for Arc Baraju that get stuck between this arc that is super good and Movie 3 that is super hyped haha, I hope Baraju can reach the expectation tho.
